For many of us, a controversy from 1990 is outside our experience and interest. This resulted in the curator being taken to court. As were was putting this exhibition, we were taken with how Sergio's unflinching look at his life and the lives around him in metro Manila, presents some of the same issues that was core to that controversy, documenting all of his life as a sexually active man.

Tress' is a contemporary of Mapplethorpe, not as infamous, nor is it as graphic though the males are often nude. His work is staged with humour. We are presenting a series of six exquisite hand made prints from the 1970s, with a hand typed article, which the gallery recently purchased. Tress' solo retrospective at the Getty in LA exhibition, has just concluded.
Director’s space:
maguire's chair//male project is showing at the Victorian Pride Centre, here are prints the curator wanted to show but did not fit with the 'G' rating required in that space. He works at making beautiful images of all sorts of males.

About Us
For more than 30 years, I've been making and collecting photographs. Our Photo studio is now home to a space we can show photographs as well. I see a lot of work that very few people get to see and less get to buy. We would like to change that. Our mission is to present interesting photography in many forms and genres from the whole of the history of photography and contrast it with what is happening now.
We are unapologetically Asia Pacific in our outlook. The history of photography has has largely ignored us and this is part of rectifying that bias. We will show work from WENA (Western Europe and North America) for context.
The work we present will be available to view to the world. We have an studio in Docklands, Melbourne from which we can organise viewing of specific works. As we stage each exhibition we will launch on this site. We will show photography in all its glory from works made for galleries, newspapers and domestic photo albums. We are not embarrassed by reproductions and vernacular, which will always be noted in the descriptions. We are influenced by the collecting and curating of Sam Wagstaff.
