About Us
For more than 30 years, I've been making and collecting photographs. Our Photo studio is now home to a space we can show photographs as well. I see a lot of work that very few people get to see and less get to buy. We would like to change that. Our mission is to present interesting photography in many forms and genres from the whole of the history of photography and contrast it with what is happening now.
We are unapologetically Asia Pacific in our outlook. The history of photography has has largely ignored us and this is part of rectifying that bias. We will show work from WENA (Western Europe and North America) for context.
The work we present will be available to view to the world. We have an studio in Docklands, Melbourne from which we can organise viewing of specific works. As we stage each exhibition we will launch on this site. We will show photography in all its glory from works made for galleries, newspapers and domestic photo albums. We are not embarrassed by reproductions and vernacular, which will always be noted in the descriptions. We are influenced by the collecting and curating of Sam Wagstaff.

We have subscribed to over 100 mailing lists and counting, so that we can distil them into a monthly email to inform you of what is happening in Photography in Melbourne and Victoria. It is part of community building.
We are working with reframe-focus.xyz to make a directory of the photo scene in Victoria and a monthly email update to exhibitions, opportunities, services, retail and events.
